Cookie policy

Transparency and privacy belong together. This page states plainly what this website stores on your device, and what it does not.

01Scope

This policy covers the Readmy website. Readmy® is part of the InnoQlar® Group, and Readmy refers to the AI model, which is owned by the InnoQlar® Group. This site is currently an information site published while the product is being tested and validated with the journal commissioning the work, so its content and this policy change as that work progresses.

02Essential cookies and local storage

Only what the site needs in order to work:

  • Session handling for page delivery.
  • Your cookie choice, kept in your browser's localStorage under the key readmy-cookie-choice.
  • Security tokens, where a page requires one.

Where your choice lives

Your cookie choice is stored on your device, not on our servers. No personal data is sent to us in order to record it.

03Analytics

Aggregate analytics are set only if you accept them, and can be withdrawn at any time. They tell us which pages are read, not who read them. If we later introduce an analytics provider, this page will name it before it is used.

04What this site does not do

  • No advertising or retargeting pixels.
  • No social media tracking scripts.
  • No cross-site profiling, and no sale of any data.
  • No manuscript content of any kind is placed in a cookie. Manuscript handling is described in the privacy policy.

05Managing your choice

Use the banner shown on your first visit, or your browser settings. Clearing site data resets your choice and the banner will appear again. Declining optional cookies does not reduce access to anything on this site.

06Legal basis

Strictly necessary cookies are set without consent, as UK PECR and the EU ePrivacy Directive allow. Anything else is set only after you accept it, and consent is the legal basis for it under the UK GDPR and the EU GDPR. Refusing or withdrawing consent is as easy as giving it, and it costs you no functionality here.
